This 3rd call will make available €38 million in funding and is open to companies and reach organisations in various areas including ICT, Transport, Mobility, SME, Security, Electronics and Space communities.

Satnav service promotion to potential users from local and regional authorities

EuroTeleServ is supporting Eurisy's activities aimed at raising the profile of satellite services with communities of potential users such as public authorities from cities and regions. We have therefore agreed to associate EuroTeleServ to a Eurisy-Ied workshop for these users, to be held on 5 October in Brussels, in the framework of the Open Days 2010: the Week of European Regions and Cities. The Open Days are the most important annual gathering of European cities and regions, with over 5000 participants every year.

This workshop is an excellent opportunity to introduce satnav services to potential users, build brand awareness, network and develop business leads. Operational or close to operational services can be featured in the workshop programme through user presentations or interactive demonstrations.

The event will be followed by a networking lunch and a service exhibition, open for EuroTeleServ members wishing to present their services. Your participation is free of charge.

We warmly invite you therefore to get in contact with Eurisy's Project Coordinator Teodora Secara (phone no.: 0033 147348172, teodora.secara@eurisy.org) for expressions of interest.

1st preparation workshop on the 3rd Galileo call within FP 7

The first preparation workshop for the 3rd Galileo call within the 7th Framework Programme took place on 6th May 2010 in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany.

The workshop was organised by EuroTeleServ in close cooperation with the Anwendungszentrum Oberpfaffenhofen (AZO) and was supported by our partner organisations KTN (London), CTAE (Barcelona), Steinbeis (Stuttgart) and NEREUS (Brussels).

The primary goal of the workshop was to prepare the members of EuroTeleServ and its partner organisations to position themselves for the upcoming call. Mrs. Carmen Aguilera from the GNSS Supervisory Authority was present at the event and gave an overview on the 3rd call intentions and lessons learnt from the previous Galileo calls. Members of EuroTeleServ and its partner organisations presented new project ideas and technical concepts.

The EC is currently working on the preliminary Galileo work programme 2011. The 3rd Galileo call will be the last work programme of its kind. The 7th FP will elapse in 2013. The budget of the 3rd call is estimated to amount to 38 Mio. € and will be presented to the EU member states for approval and adoption by end of June 2010. Finally, the release of the 3rd Galileo call is expected to be published by end of July 2010.

The participants of the workshop made best use of the networking opportunity and presented very interesting and innovative project ideas for the 3rd Galileo call. At the end, the workshop was a big success and the feedback from participants and members was very positive.

The presentations of the workshop will be available for participants and ordinary members of EuroTeleServ in due time.
